With Apple and Samsung such fantastic rivals, the strategy of the Korean company in particular can often be influenced by the behaviour of Apple.

This is really much a preliminary projection, and surely shouldn't be taken as gospel. But if this figure does turn out to be exact, it could additionally cram some other exciting features into its portfolio, and suggests that the Galaxy S7 will be an incredibly powerful performer.

Samsung to implement a Qualcomm based Snapdragon processor in it's next flagship mobile phone.

It appears certain then that Samsung will react to this demand together with the Galaxy S7, particularly if it's to include 4K resolution in the apparatus. Music may also play a significant role in smartphones following Apple's Beats acquisition, and storage space will probably be at a premium necessitating a bigger model of the Galaxy S7 handset.

Samsung is, in addition, likely to upgrade the Wi Fi connectivity in the Galaxy S7 to enable superfast Internet connections. This will soon be essential for users meaning to stream 4K resolution video.

Samsung Galaxy S7: Other features

In this device is an infrared detector, which may quantify users' body temperatures, providing an accurate and efficient measure in real-time. This really is a response to well-being-monitoring functionality comprised in devices like the recently published Apple Watch.

Moreover, some sources have implied that the Galaxy S7 could be the first smartphone to include a holographic screen. It'd be a notable invention should Samsung manage to attain it, although this does seem a fairly outlandish proposition. More likely is some sort of tie-in with virtual reality technology, as this is set to be a mainstream market in the coming years.

Galaxy S7 Price

Considering the high specifications linked with this device, when it's released, Samsung will surely do well to freeze the price of the Galaxy S7. A new batch of rumours reach the web over the weekend, giving us a few more pieces of the Samsung Galaxy S7 jigsaw puzzle. Quite quite a few them support details we've already heard on the grapevine.

Korean media outlets are reporting that Samsung is testing a dual camera system (such as the one in the HTC One M8) - one camera takes the picture and also the other scans for depth and other information. It lets you change the point of focus on the fly and offers a few other tricks too.

Then there is the screen size: the new speculation has this pegged at 5.7-inches (a huge jump from the 5.1-inch Galaxy S6), partially in response to the success of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 series.

An earlier escape suggested that we could see two sizes one fitting a bigger one and also last year's version, of the  Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge .

Internal specifications of Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge and Plus
